For example if the sonotube concrete pillars are pushed because of the frost, you'd get a bunch of bumps in the slab with cracks. Best to keep it uniform. I thought the official ones were actual size and much thicker wall ( I've seen them, never bought one), while the ones you can buy at your local builder's supply are "nominal" size.
